healing beyond words,
SOMATIC THERAPY
Somatic therapy is a gentle, body-led approach to healing. Rather than analysing your story or trying to fix what feels wrong, we listen to the subtle language of the nervous system. We’ll explore the sensations, impulses, patterns and protective responses that live in the body. At a pace that honours your system, this work supports you to feel safer, more present and more connected to yourself, so change can unfold naturally from the inside out. When the nervous system feels safer, softer and more supported, everything else begins to shift.
Your body is the vessel through which you experience the world. Somatic therapy meets you at the level of the felt sense — the part of you that knows, responds, protects and communicates long before words arrive.
“SOMA”
The word soma comes from the Greek sōma, meaning “the living body in its wholeness.” Not just muscles or structure, but the felt, lived, ever-changing inner experience of being human.
Somatic Therapy is for you if you feel like something inside needs tending too, even if you can’t fully explain it yet
This work can support you if you’re living with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout, or if you notice patterns of shutdown, numbness, or feeling disconnected from yourself. It’s for those who feel “stuck,” caught in cycles of people-pleasing, self-criticism or over-functioning. Somatic Therapy is also a healing balm for anyone navigating change or a life transition or want to improve their somatic capacity to hold/enjoy good experiences.
This is support for those who want to feel more present, more alive and more at home in their body.
You don’t need to have a clear story, a diagnosis, or the “right” words. Somatic therapy meets you exactly where you are, working gently with the nervous system to build safety, regulation and self-trust.
our work together
we follow the intelligence of your body
Sessions unfold slowly and collaboratively, guided by what your nervous system is ready to meet. There is no forcing or fixing. Only a steady listening and a deep respect for your pace.
In our sessions, we may explore:
Tracking sensations, feelings, and internal cues
Noticing patterns of activation or shutdown
Pendulation (moving gently between comfort and discomfort)
Resourcing and cultivating internal safety
Vagal toning and grounding practices
Completing stress responses the body never had the chance to finish
Developing a compassionate relationship with your nervous system
Learning micro tools for self-regulation
Everything is choice-based and trauma-informed, allowing your system to lead the way. This work is designed to support your body in feeling more settled, spacious, alive and connected.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed, body-led practice. It draws on my training with the Holistic School of Therapy, alongside teachings inspired by Somatic Experiencing® (Peter Levine), ongoing certification in Somatic Trauma Therapy and nearly a decade of holding safe, grounded space through yoga, embodiment, and nervous system work.
Sessions are designed to be deeply safe, collaborative and choice-led, always honouring the pace of your body and your story.

We are all completely unique, but here are a few often noted feelings post sessions.
A range of physical and emotional shifts may happen, often described as being more grounded, lighter and present, with increased body awareness (even as you release stored trauma through sensations like tingling, warmth, shaking or sudden emotions like crying or laughter) ultimately leading to lasting relief and a sense of wholeness.
It's a journey of your body releasing stress, so expect sensations to arrest as you move from being "stuck" to feeling more resilient.
